When you undergo treatment for prostate cancer you must
be prepared for the possibility of a decline in your ability
to have an erection. Running along each side of the prostate
are a bundle of nerves responsible for erection. Impotence,
the loss of sexual function may occur as a result of damage
to these nerves either from surgery or radiation therapy.
Over time your sexual potency may return to normal depending
on your health and your age. Fortunately there are several
treatments from which to choose that may help restore your
erections.
