Study of Reduction of Fatigue in Prostate Cancer Patients Receiving Hormone Therapy
This study looks at the effectiveness of a drug called methylphenidate in reduction of fatigue related to hormone therapy treatment for prostate cancer.
The study is suitable for men who:
- Are less than 85 years of age
- Are either starting hormone therapy or who have already been on hormones for 6 months or more
- Have a stable or decreasing PSA
- Have not had chemotherapy within the last 5 years
- Have not had a heart attack within the past 6 months
- Have not suffered from severe depression
- Do not have a history of motor tics, seizures
- Have no family history of Tourette’s syndrome
